By now, it’s safe to say that we’ve all found ways to celebrate milestones, holidays, and events that are safe and low-risk.
Next up? Halloween!
As if we could forget about this spooktacular season (because yes, Halloween is more than just a day, it’s a way of life, ok?
Whether you have young children who are looking forward to dressing up as their favorite ghouls, goblins, witches, (or their favorite video game characters), or you’re a kid at heart which, aren’t we all, who’s looking forward to going all out with some vamp-tastic Halloween decorations, this is just for you.
Ever been on a date that didn’t go so well…and the outcome is that oh so lovely concept among young folk known as “ghosting,” aka, cutting off all forms of communication without explanation?
Well, we’re not talking about that.
We’re talking about GOING ghosting!
What is that!?
Make a goodie bag filled with all sorts of treats (maybe a few tricks, just for kicks) for a friend or neighbor, leave it on their front porch with a little note inside, asking them to “pass it on” and “ghost” someone else!
Think of it as paying it forward but with goodie bags filled with ghouly-goodness.
We’re talking about a full-fledged Halloween baking competition!
Check out some of these to-DIE for easy Halloween dessert recipes you can start making as we speak.
Of course, dessert wouldn’t be complete without a little cocktail now, would it? Check out some of these hauntingly delicious drinks that will definitely give you chills…in a good way, of course:
So maybe Trick or Treating is out, but costumes are sooooo in.
Get your costumes on, go all out with your eerie (but obviously STUNNING) makeup or face paint, and crank up the tunes.
It’s time to break out all of the favorites (and don’t forget, since Halloween is on a Saturday, we’re talking an alllll day movie marathon!).
A small dinner party, of course, as we are still socially distancing….but a dinner party nonetheless!
Go all out and create a decked out table setting fit for the Grim Reaper himself.
Dripping candles, mini-cauldron cups, and a skeleton hand artfully draped over a charcuterie board, check out these gruesomely trendy Halloween Table Decorations that will make it impossible to NOT want to host a dinner party.
And we all know a dinner table isn’t complete without flowers!
All the more reason to pop some on the table!
Since we’re taking full advantage of this full day of Halloween festivities, we think some ghostly games are surely in order.
Test out your throwing arm skills with this Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss or throw on your Halloween costume for a totally rockin’ Monster Mash Freeze Dance.

Adults! We didn’t forget about you!
Since you’re never too old for a good game:
Halloween means fall, and fall means STUNNING foliage.
Take a drive, a hike, or a bike ride to check out the beautiful, albeit short-lived, fall colors! Winter-you will be oh so thankful.
Think “Easter Egg Hunt” but make it Halloween candy.
You know what to do! Hide a bunch of candy around the yard, put them in cute little pumpkin containers like this one, or just leave them as is!
Keep the spirit of trick or treating alive without the risk.
For all of life’s moments, give lovingly
